High-gloss MDF Board with UV Protection UV MDF
Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product created by converting leftover hardwood or softwood wood into wood fibers, frequently in a defibrator, mixing it with wax and a resin binder, and then creating panels under high heat and pressure.
MDF typically has more density than plywood. Despite being constructed of separated fibers, it can be applied as a building material much like plywood. Compared to particle board, it is much denser and stronger.
The name is derived from the variations in fiberboard density.
